Introduction

APL Apollo Rectangular & Square hollow sections and steel hollow section tubes are manufactured at the standard tube plant in the High Frequency Induction Welding (HFIW) Mills. The mill has been designed on technology provided by Kusakabe of Japan, who are the world leaders in Welded Tube Technology. The mill has installed capacity of 80000 tonnes per annum and can make circular as well as hollow sections.

Presently APL Apollo rectangular & square steel hollow sections and pipes can be supplied to IS:4923 up to maximum 180 x 180 x 5.4mm for square and 200 x 100 x 540 mm for rectangular pipes. We are going with our expansion plan and shall be able to provide a size range up to 250 x 250 mm square pipes and 300 x 200 mm in rectangular and square sections and pipes respectively. Thickness will vary between 1.60 mm to 10 mm.

These sections can be supplied in Grade YST 210, 240 and 310. These pipes has immensable end use but few of them are listed below.
